Legacy Art and Cultural Center

A grant from Cherokee Nation funded what will be Legacy Art and Cultural Center when completed.  It was built out of wood from trees killed by the Red Oak Beetle.  Cherokee brothers Don and Jack Blair built their own saw mill and are directing and overseeing the completion of the structure.  It is located on the first of 40 wooded acres and will house the youth and elder art, language and cultural programs for years to come.

Legacy seeks support for the completion of the building in the following areas:

• Kitchen (for learning about preparation and nutrition of traditional foods)
• Out door cooking unit
• Heating and cooling
• Insulation
