Website notes: This website is a work in progress. As much as anything else it is a place to dock the stuff on the desk. You may find it always in progress, because Legacy is a learning organization and its focus is on doing stuff. Explore the obscure corners and you may find cool stuff. Call Dana Tiger anytime, because she'd love to tell you about upcoming projects and ways to become involved! All Legacy projects are open to participants. And while our services tend to focus on Native Youth from at-risk backgrounds, we also feel that all youth are at-risk in this crazy world-- especially as to traditional Native American culture. We love to visit schools and to host classes at the gallery and at Park Hill. Soon, we'll have the kind of amenities that every teacher wants for a class trip (running water so children can wash their hands, and a real, proper flushing toilet!). We love to come to classrooms and help your students do art with a bona fide internationally-acclaimed artist. And if you can help to support this work, we'd be grateful. But knowing how schools are in a pinch these days, don't let it stop you if you can't, because from time to time, some angel donor will send us an unexpected gift. That's when we rush right out and buy brushes and paper, markers and paints. Because every child has an artist inside. And sometimes, you never know what will give a child a lifelong self-confidence. We believe in kids before they have a chance to doubt themselves, and it works! November 9, 2006
